Wow!
It's been a roller coaster ride of a year. A speedy one at that too. Possibly one of my most eventful and most involved year in my life.Earlier, in the beginning of this year I should have concentrated more on myself. I was side tracked. And shortly came to.
I was in and out of different places of employment and finally was involved in the company my mother works for with a full time position. I feel I worked my ass of for the half year I was employed with this company. I'm glad I stuck with it and eventually became permanent. The company offers a welding program so I can aim to become a Master and obtain a certificate. Certificate means more monies. And there will be much rejoicing. (yay.)
And I made some terrible choices this year. And I stumbled upon fortune. And fortune seems to be favoring my company. I met an amazing woman. I have an amazing job. I have some amazing friends (although we've been out of touch for some time). Getting my license (finally) is something I should have done years ago but it's better now than never. It HAS helped since then.
Also recently last month I had the great and fantastic opportunity to be in a music video with my friends in Widow Sunday. It's for a song they wrote called "Forever Sleep". The basis of the song/story is your typical revenge story. Girlfriend is dead. Find the killer. Kill him. All is right in the world. (or is it?) Anyway it was a great weekend working with the director and producer and everyone else involved for the crowd shots. I just recently had a sneak peak at the footage. What can I say? Other than, "rape." the video is rape. It looks so good. Not only because I'm in it BUT it was shot wonderfully with great lighting, cameras, and imaginative people with a killer vision. I feel honored to have this involvement.
Right now I have minimal priorities but I will always seek a way to constantly improve my life. My goal as of this moment is to continue working my ass off. Get my certificate and eventually become a home owner. You know..the real-ass American Dream.
I probably wouldn't be the person I am today if I didn't fail at some of the things I've tried so far. I'm grateful for the support I've received from friends and family. Knowing that at least a group of individuals have my back even when I don't want help.
This year has been something else for sure. I can only imagine what 2011 is up to. And hopefully it'll be more interesting than this year. Not to say that 2010 wasn't interesting in the least. I'm always game for an exciting adventure.
Hmm...I'm contemplating on getting a new game even though I just bought/finished Fable III. Black Ops? Assassin's Creed: The Brotherhood? Or should I just wait for the lady to get these for me for the Mas of Christ? We will see.
For now, I must scoop poopies and put some pants on. In no particular order.
